Kathy Mazza-Delosh, age 46 of Farmingdale, passed away on September 11, 2001, heroically in the line of duty giving her life to save others at the World Trade Center. Kathy, a registered Nurse and part of the Open Heart Surgical team at St. Francis Hospital, brought her healthcare skills to the PAPD Academy, instructing her fellow officers in rendering medical aid in times of need. One of only two female Captains, Kathy was the first woman to command the Port Authority Police Academy.
She is the beloved wife of Christopher; cherished daughter of Rose and John; loving daughter-in-law of Margaret; loving sister of John, Ronald and Victor; loving sister-in-law of Cathy, Jill and Denise; dear niece, devoted aunt, loved cousin, true caring friend.
A memorial Mass will be held at Maria Regina R.C. Church, 3945 Jerusalem Ave., Seaford, NY at noon Saturday, November 17th.
