Captain Patrick J. Brown, FDNY, heroically died in the line of duty, at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. A 21 year veteran of the FDNY. Proud Captain of Ladder 3. Former Captain of 69 Engine. Former Lieutenant of 28 Truck. Former Firefighter of Rescue 2, Rescue 1 and 26 Truck. Patrick was one of the most highest decorated active members of the FDNY. He was also a decorated Marine in Vietnam and award winner of the Silver Star. Patrick also received the Holy Name Society Man of the Year Award.
Patrick is survived by his father John (retired FBI) and his mother the late Ruth. Loving brother of Michael Brown, MD., former firefighter of Engine 37, his wife Janet, Carolyn Negron and her husband Hector.
Memorial Visitation will be held at FRANK E. CAMPBELL, 1076 Madison Ave at 81 Street, on Wednesday, Nov. 7 & Thursday, Nov. 8, 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Memorial Mass Friday, 2 P.M. at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Fifth Ave at 51 St. In lieu of flowers, please make donation to Ladder 3 Assistance Fund, 108 East 13 St., NY, NY 10003.
