Amy E. Toyen, age 24 of Newton, an employee of Thomson Financial in Boston, was killed September 11, 2001 in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. She was born and raised in Avon, Conn. She was a 1995 graduate of Avon High School, and a 1999 graduate of Bentley College.
She worked for two years as a media specialist. She was attending a technology conference in New York at the World Trade Center last Tuesday. Miss Toyen enjoyed music and art.
She leaves her parents, Martin and Dorine of Avon, CT; a sister, Heather of Canton, CT; her maternal grandparents, Ernest and Salena Blake of Longmeadow; her paternal grandparents, Morris and Dora of Canton, CT, and Delray Beach, FL; and her fiance, Jeff Gonski of Watertown.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Beth El Temple in West Hartford.
