Charles Jones, age 48 of Bedford, died tragically on September 11, 2001 as a passenger on American Airlines Flight 11 that crashed into the World Trade Center. He was a retired Air Force colonel and program manager for BAE Systems, a defense contractor and the largest employer in New Hampshire. He was an astronaut and pilot on his way to Los Angeles to present a proposal to a client.
