Living Tribute to Kolleen 'Koko' Krueger
Photo
Born: February 21, 1959
Died: October 16, 2006

Our Koko ran into the arms of our loving Lord on the morning of October 16, 2006, and even in the midst of our grief in losing such a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, we are assured that it was the most glorious day of her beautiful life ~~ a beautiful life which sprang not only from her physical beauty, but from the beauty that radiated from within her and the loving spirit she shared so generously with everyone who knew her. Throughout her journey, she has demonstrated true joy and a grateful heart for the many blessings in her life, and a quiet strength and faith which reflected her trust in our Father to guide and ultimately carry her through some of life’s most challenging circumstances to her home with Him in heaven. To have shared in that journey has been a blessing to all who have known her, and we offer our fond remembrances and a renewed commitment to those principles in honor of a life well lived.

Born to Jack and Pattie Harper on February 21, 1959, in Spokane, Washington, Kolleen is survived by her loving husband, George F. Krueger, daughter Kelsey, and son Keaton; her mother Pattie E. Harper, sisters Kim Randall, Kristi Wenzel, and Kelli Henson Hill, and brothers Kyle Harper and Gary Harper. Part of a large and close-knit family, she is also survived by her mother- and father-in-law George and Betty Krueger; sisters-in-law Mary Ann Harper, Frieda Harper, Carol Harper, and Sue Burns; brothers-in-law Gene Randall, Mark Wenzel, Tom Hill, Howard Krueger, and Tommy Burns; and twelve nieces, eleven nephews, seven great-nieces, ten great-nephews, three great-great nieces, and two great-great nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Lt. Col. Jack Harper (USAF Ret.), and her brothers, Jack Harper, Jr., and John L. Harper.

Kolleen was employed by American Color Corporation for over 22 years, where she met her husband George in 1986. Kolleen was in her element at the center of fun and style. She will be remembered for her ability to light up a room and incredible talent in creating special events, gifts, and memories for everyone who knew her.

Visitation/viewing will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday, October 20th, at Rosewood Funeral Home in Porter, 22271 Highway 59 North at the Community Drive exit. The funeral service will be led by Fr. Dennis Fotinos at Rosewood Funeral Home in Porter at 12 noon on Saturday, followed immediately by a celebration of Kolleen’s beautiful life and spirit from 2-5 pm at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd at 2929 Woodland Hills Drive in Kingwood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lifeline Chaplaincy at MD Anderson Cancer Center or to the Kidney Cancer Association.
