Living Tribute to Alfred Edwards
Born: February 21, 1919
Died: September 23, 2006

Alfred Edwards, 87, of Mayflower, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2006, at his home.

Born February 21, 1919, in Faulkner County, a son of the late William Allen and Millie (Brimm) Edwards, he retired from AFCO Steel after 30 years, and was a WWII Army veteran. He was known for his gardening and also enjoyed cooking, particularly pie baking.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Edwards.

Survivors include eight children: Betty Campbell of Marietta, GA, Weldon Edwards, Bobby Edwards, and Patricia McPherson, all of Mayflower, Ronnie Edwards of North Little Rock, Debbie Henson of Ft. Smith, Shalla Pack of Nashville, AR, and Thomas Edwards of Bentonville, AR; 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with burial following at Mayflower Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Randy McPherson, Bobby Edwards, Jason McPherson, Nick Henson, Kelly Henson, Brock McPherson, Jake Edwards, Scott Edwards, Steven Pack, Spencer Pack, and Drew Edwards.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Home Care of Conway.
