Jim Derden, age 59 of Conway, died Thursday, April 8th, 2004. He was born
December 15, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas the son of Royal and Buena Vista Evans
He was a store planner having worked for many large retail names including
Dillards, and Stage. He was a member of the Woodland Heights Baptist Church
and sang in the adult choir.
He was predeceased by his mother, is survived by his wife of 29 years, Barbara,
by two sons, Daniel and Andy, both of Conway, Arkansas, by his father, Royal
Derden of Kennedale, Texas, by his sister, Alice Rea of Rendon, Texas and by his
brother, David Derden of Kennedale, Texas.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13th, 2004 at the Woodland
Heights Baptist Church officiated by Rev. David Hatfield. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.
Monday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway. Burial will be Thursday, 2:00 p.m.
at Emerald Hills Cemetery in Kennedale, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Woodland Heights Baptist Church Building
Fund, P.O. Box 10706, Conway, AR. 72034.
