Conway, Arkansas—Mildred Aline Lloyd, 71, went to her heavenly home January 21, 2004.
She was born on March 11, 1932 in Hot Springs, AR to Jewell Elizabeth and Lew Allen Lynchard.
She leaves a legacy of many friends and relatives who were forever changed by her life. She
was a lady of uncommon compassion, courage, strength, and a love of life. Her life was one of devotion to her faith, her family and her friends.
She was truly apart of the “Greatest Generation.”
She was a graduate of Hot Springs High class of 1951, worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, was employed by Newberry’s Inc. and retired from Ouachita Memorial
Hospital in 1984. She was a 50 year resident of Hot Springs, AR before moving to Conway
to be closer to family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Adrith Carol Lloyd; sisters Dorothy Myers and
Margaret Varner; and brothers Lawrence Lynchard and Dee Lynchard. She is survived by
her son, Eddie Carol Lloyd and wife Kim, of Hot Springs, AR and her daughter, Julia K. Washam
and husband Rick of Conway, AR, 6 grandchildren: Eddie Lloyd, Misty Brunken, Scott Lloyd, of
Hot Springs, AR and Summer Washam, Charity Washam, and Ben Washam of Conway, AR,
2 great-grandchildren: Jewell Brunken and Jasmine Lloyd of Hot Springs, 3 sisters: Jean Starnes
of Hot Springs, AR., Modine Jones of Corpus Christi, TX., and Louella Fikes of Norwalk, CA, and
21 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 25 at First Baptist Church in Conway at 2 pm.
Burial will be held at Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery in Hot Springs, AR at approximately
4:30 pm. Visitation services will be held on Saturday, January 24 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home
in Conway from 6 to 8 pm.
