Living Tribute to Olin Dwight Brooks

Olin Dwight Brooks, 80, of Conway formerly of Blevins, AR died Tuesday. He worked forty-four years for Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring as a Conductor. He was an Army veteran of WWII a member of American Legion and member of the Church of Christ.He was born May 11, 1922 in Blevins, AR to the late James Lonnie and Cora Estelle Smith Brooks.

He is survived by three daughters, Karen Richards of Ft. Collins, CO; Ruth Langford of Conway and Susan Bieber of Temecula,CA; two sisters Jaimi Lewers of Mesa, AZ and Hilda Chetney of Boonville, MO and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Elizabeth Chesshir Brooks, two brothers, Harold Quitman Brooks and James Weldon Brooks and a sister Mildred Tousley.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Nashville Funeral Home in Nashville, AR with burial in Corinth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Roller-McNutt Conway then visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nashville Funeral Home.
